Validation workshop

Validation workshops were held at the halls of the Nsawam and Suhum municipal assemblies to ensure that relevant stakeholders are informed of interim results of data collected. It provided the avenue for discussing interim results and getting feedback from stakeholders to verify the accuracy of data findings. Present at the validation workshop were key stakeholders including the Municipal coordinating director, social welfare, planning, disability desk officers, ICT coordinators, assembly members, representatives of community-based organizations, traditional authorities, and heads of households.

FCIL-ICT Team commence data collection exercise in Suhum and Nsawam municipalities in the eastern region of Ghana

FACIL-ICT team embarked on data collection exercises within the Nsawam/Adoagyiri and Suhum Municipalities in the eastern region of Ghana.

The exercise involved the administration of questionnaires to respondents in several remote communities within the municipalities. Some of the communities visited included  Akorabo, Owureko, kukua, Adarkwa, Asarekrom, Amanhyia, Akoti, Trio in the Suhum municipality, and Fotobi, Ahojo, Amanfrom, Oparekrom, Wangara, Sakyikrom, Ntoaso in the Nsawam/Adoagyiri municipality.

Stakeholder consultation in Nsawam and Suhum Municipal Assemblies

Stakeholder consultation workshops were held on 20th and 21st October 2021 at the Nsawam-Adoagyiri and Suhum Municipal Assembly Halls respectively. This workshop brought together local government functionaries including the coordinating director of the Municipal Assembly, Assembly members, planning officer and directors of ICT, Health, LEAP, disability common fund, as well as community members comprising heads of households, Traditional authorities, Community based organizations, and opinion leaders. The stakeholder consultation workshop formed the basis of the data collection exercise for the FACIL-ICT project in Ghana.
