Dr Efua Esaaba Agyire-Tettey (LICOT-WASO I & II)

is lecturer at the Department of Social Work, University of Ghana. She holds Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Philosophy in social work from the University of Ghana (Legon), Master’s Degree in Conflict, Peace and Security from KAIPTC and PhD from the University of Siegen, Germany. She has many years of experience in research, teaching and providing services to government and non-government organization. She has collaborated with universities abroad as the lead researcher. Her area of specialties in research includes Disability Issues, social protection, family welfare, human rights, violence and conflict management.
She has been part of Centre for Environmental Research Policy Analysis (CERPA) as a senior research advisor. Efua is the Ghanaian coordinator of LICOT-WASO.

She also has experience and interest in health and gender issues and the general discipline of humanities. She has been an affiliate of the Centre for Gender and Advocacy Studies (CEGENSA) at the University of Ghana. She is a strong advocate for vulnerable people in the society and she finds space for fostering community awareness campaigns and environmental education in Ghana.

Prof. Dr Johannes Schädler (LICOT-WASO I & II)

is the managing director of the Centre for Planning and Evaluation of Social Services (ZPE) at the University of Siegen.

He teaches in programs of social work at the University of Siegen. His research focuses on participation research, integrated social planning, European comparative research in disability services and the development of social services in the field of international development cooperation.

Dr. Daniella Delali Sedegah (LICOT-WASO II)

is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sustainable Development and Policy at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development, where she also serves as the Acting Dean of Student Affairs. She is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a PhD in Development Studies, an MPhil in Social Work, and a BA in Integrated Development Studies. She also holds an MEd in Teaching in Higher Education and is currently pursuing an MA in Gender and Law. With eighteen years of academic and research experience, Dr. Sedegah’s work focuses on the intersection of gender, disability, and sustainable development, with a strong commitment to advancing the rights and inclusion of women and marginalized populations. She supervised a PhD thesis under the LICOT WASO I project on the topic “Learning Experiences of Visually Impaired Students at the University of Ghana.” In 2024, she served as an environmental and social expert for a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) analysis commissioned by Sightsavers, which examined barriers affecting the participation of women and girls with disabilities across 33 districts in Ghana. Dr. Sedegah has published, led and supported research projects aimed at informing inclusive policies and practices.

Rodger Kumah (LICOT-WASO II)

is a research professional with specialization in Social, Security and Market research. Having worked on several corporate accounts including MTN, Vodafone (Now Telecel), Judicial Service of Ghana, Shoprite Group of Companies, Kasapreko Nigeria, Tigo DRC amongst others. He doubsle as a Security Consultant and Private Investigator with Darog Securities limited. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Defense and international Politics from The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), as well as a degree in Political Science with Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is the Consultant on the LICOT WASO II project.

Marigold Cobbina (LICOT-WASO II)

is a licensed social worker and mental health researcher in Ghana, currently serving as a Research Assistant on the LICOT-WASO II project at the Department of Social Work, University of Ghana. Her work on the project supports research activities focused on inclusion, care, and successful transitions for persons with disabilities in tertiary education. Marigold brings extensive experience in working with marginalized and underserved populations, including youth with disabilities, gender and sexual minorities, and trauma survivors. Her research and clinical work emphasize the adaptation of evidence-based practices to fit local cultural contexts. She is deeply committed to equity, social inclusion, and community-based mental health care. 

Hannah Enyonam Edor (LICOT-WASO II)

is a graduate student at the University of Ghana, having completed all required coursework for a Master of Arts in Development Studies at the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Ghana, where she developed a strong interest in disability inclusion, as well as women’s and children’s rights and protection. Hannah’s research includes an unpublished manuscript titled “Friendship Dynamics: Exploring Students’ Perceptions of Friendship with Students with Disabilities.” Her master’s thesis focuses on the economic empowerment of women with disabilities, reflecting her commitment to advancing inclusive development and social justice. Hannah looks forward to a career in research where she will contribute to the development discourse and tell stories of impact. She serves as a Research Assistant on the LICOT WASO II project

Linda Ofori-Nyarko (LICOT-WASO II)

is currently an Assistant Registrar at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development. She is an astute Administrator who brings her expertise to the LICOT WASO II project. With a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, she is well equipped to handle complex projects. Her experience as a Senior Administrative Assistant at the Department of Earth Science, University of Ghana has honed her administrative abilities. She has developed strong skills in strategic planning, process improvement and project management. She is the Administrator of the LICOT WASO II project. She leverages on her management consulting expertise to drive success to the project showcasing her strength which comes with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
